Happy Holidays

November 24, 2010

The time of year is here, when family, friends, lovers and children come together, cooking, eating, rejoicing ver favorite pastimes such as childhood memories, school relationships and of course missing though who are not longer with us.
Holidays can be fun, but at other times it can be an absolute pain in the a**. Crossing paths with bitter step parents, jealous siblings and old thoughts of not so good times come to mind. Everybody celebrates the holidays different which is cool this time of yrs is full of unity or is suppose to, so from my family to yours i’m wishing each and everyone of you a safe and happy holiday.

Try not to over indulge, we wouldn’t wont those waistlines expanding anymore than they should, so many treats to eat and many are great, but perhaps try to cook with less of the fatty and unhealthy stuff i.e oil, butter, salt…ect and try to re-vamp your meal plan. add more veggies (think green) even with the sweetest of sweets than can be given a healthy boost by lessening the amount of sugar used in them. Cookies dont nearly need as much sugar or butter as many recipes call for, i cut my amounts in 1/2 and nobodies none the wiser, yep your girl is a wise in the kitchen there is’nt to much i cant cook, bake, fry or saute.

Some of my favorites to cook or bake especially around the holiday times are: Cookies, Cakes, Pasta, Pies, Turkey, Potatoes and a little bit more. Be safe to all our admirers, commentors and visitors, eat well and enjoy yourselves

I have to agree with you that some family holidays are bizarre. The last year-end holidays I decided not to spend with my family. Staying alone, relaxing, and I can say with all certainty that it was better than many holidays in family I’ve had. ^^

This post was made on my birthday… The 24th marked the 31st year I’ve been blessed to be alive on this earth…. I thank the Lord for this time of the year, but I wish more of us would get together to do it a little bit more with loved ones, friends, and associates that we say could be a friend, but too flaky their not our friend, LMAO…. Anyway, Swaggtalk100, keep, keeping it real on you guys website. When my time comes, you guys will be a site I will recommend for people to come and view, place comments, and purchase items as well…. Thanks, and Happy New Year’s!!!! May 2011 be the body, the introduction is done… ; )
