Video Review: Nivea “Love Hurts”

July 8, 2010

Whats going swaggtalkers and rockers? figured it was time for another video review, this time i’ve decided to go to the heart of issues between men, women and the issues they all face as a couple. If money is the root of all evil them love most be the root of all pain. Today we have a deep song with a sadly familiar meaning by none other than Nivea if you dont know who she is then here’s a little info on her: She was born in Atlanta, Ga

She appeared on Mystikal‘s 2000 single “Danger (Been So Long)”[2]. Her debut solo single, “Don’t Mess with the Radio“, followed in 2001. In 2002 she released her Don’t Mess With My Mansecond single in the U.S., “” featuring Brian and Brandon Casey: (of R&B group Jagged Edge), which peaked at number eight on U.S. Billboard Hot 100 singles chart in 2002.

Nivea’s self-titled debut album was released in December 10, 2002. The album reached the Top 100 of the U.S. Billboard 200 albums chart. In 2003, “Don’t Mess with My Man” was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best R&B Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals.[1] Nivea’s third single “Laundromat” featured singer R. Kelly. The following singles, “Ya Ya Ya” (a collaboration with Lil Wayne) and “25 Reasons”, were released to radio.

Nivea has worked on a total of 4 albums, but only three have been released here in the US which are titled as followed 2001-2002: Nivea, 2004-2005: Complicated, 2006-2009: Animalistic and 2010-present: Purple Heart

Watch the video and listen to the lyrics this is a deep song that speaks to my heart & soul from previous experiences as it does for many of us, so fellas if your lady has you feeling as if you cant take it anymore, your trying your damnest be a good man, a lover and friend, but she cant meet you halfway then you might want to tell her bye – bye as well for any of you ladies out, if you’ve stood by your man, been faithful, honest, supportive and loving, but yet and still he just doesn’t seem to care then it might be time to let him go.

over all a great song Nivea‘s best work to date, ladies listen and learn @ 2:28 for a real dose of reality, that’s one of the realist statements i’ve ever heard in my life its very true indeed because people dont change people untill their ready…sometimes thats never.
.
Just love those who are in your life, that’s so hard to find these days like this one longest married couple or even this one love is in the air nothings pefect and with great love comes great pain, it just needs to be worth it all. Feel free to review this video and discuss the emotional issues you’ve experienced while in love

The problem I see with this video is it doesn’t provide a solution. There are various solutions to problems that relationships face. But the constant bombardment of negative connontations tacked on to our music and even in some of Television Programming. People are become numb to hurting others. Its nothing. We are creating selfish people who sole desire is all about self and not really concern with how can i make my mate happy…Its pretty sad…an songs like this only perpetaute more hurt in the long run.

cant count how many songs are out where you men are degrading us & tearing us down on all sides

@ Raquel…That part is deep right? and almost makes me cry whenever i`m listening to it
but what she said is so true! see thats what makes good music when it comes from the heart

I watched the video before reading and this part touched me “women always think that they can change a man, but changing my mind was the better plan”
then i realized that is the part you told us to listen to in your post! *.*
love sometimes can be even cruel if you’re not prepared to face it all

so, another thing I liked was her leg tattoo! amazing!!
