ThrowBack Tuesdays: (Salt ‘n’ Pepa video)

June 1, 2010

We’re back with the throwbacks

To all the “Good Men” out there for all us ladies who knows we have a good thing…because a REAL man is so hard to find. So to all my sistas, mothers, daughters and friends who is feeling this jam from the heart….We are in a world of selfish people, many truly look out for anybody else besides themselves especially in relationships, however once in awhile a “different” type of man is born, one who will go the distance to show you how much he cares…it wont be right off the bat, but be patient in time he will give his heart to you.

“Whatta Man” is a 1994 single by Salt-n-Pepa and En Vogue from Salt-N-Pepa’s 1993 album
Very Necessary. It was issued by Next Plateau/London Records and produced by Hurby “Luv Bug” Azor. It also appears on En Vogue’s Runaway Love EP. “Whatta Man” was a major hit for both Salt-N-Pepa and En Vogue, peaking at number three on the Billboard Hot 100, and at number seven on the UK Singles Chart. It was nominated for the Grammy Award for Best R&B Vocal Performance by a Duo or Group and the American Music Award for Favorite Soul/R&B Single.

This song should be the anthem for all good men, its unique, has nice lyrics and some of the dancers and moves where on point, verse wise I think Spinderella’s was the best then comes Pepa’s. The homie Treach was looking damn good in this clip. A toast to all the boyfriends, lovers and husbands…the ones who knows how to handle their business, steps up to the plate when needed…not afraid to show their feelings. The type of man who can make you feel like a queen with mere words that speak to your heart and gets down in your soul.

such a man is rare find and should be held in high regard, for he should receive only the rarest of rewards for such loyalty and devotion = a equally good woman

I loooove throwbacks. I must be an old soul. I discovered En Vogue a long time after they disbanded (have they or they just stop singing altogether?) and that was true soul. It reminds me of good times and makes me feel melancholic. The times were people relied on their voices to shine and not on extr-computerized tracks and all sorts of tricks.

You should do more throwbacks webmistress.
