Now why do we have throwback tues exactly? To remind you that after sunday game, hang over and being mad about having to go to work monday…you need something get you through the rest fo your week.

This one is about a throwback from Mickey D’s called Astrosniks, now i`m sure if you know about their your showing your true age *lol* never the less these classy little aliens had style with their purple jumpsuits, catsuits, boots, gold belts and green skin made all the other toys a little jaded. You have seen them right? well what you didn’t know whats that they came in several colors before they were green and purple they also came in black and gold, blue and white, all gold, red and black and red and white.

If any body knows me you know I am a total TOY WHORE! Chanel, Gucci and Prada you can have it, just point me in the direct of toys from yester year such as Astrosniks

Now if you think about it looking at another type of cartoon which was turned into a toy was the Smurfs ands there less loved cartoon cousins the Snorks perhaps the Atrosniks are related to them in some way or another. I had the complete collection Astrosniks as a little kid, unfortunately they were destroyed in a house fire. Never fear thanks tom places like Ebay i`m on a quest to rebuild my toy collection and Astrosniks are first on my list.

These where extremely one of a kind or swaggerjacker of another although rumor has it the idea was stolen from the smurf creators….they also had there own little world, spaceships and coloring books as well as (to my surprise) regular books as well titles such as Astrosniks and the Quasar Caper & Astrosniks in Space. Astrosniks had to be pretty big if McDonald’s added them to their Happy Meal list.

    @ Chad
    thats cool to have why would you let them go?? especially the He-mans those are classic which are worth $1000’s I currently own a small collection of those not sure if i’de part with, but there is a time for change which prompted me to get rid of the past…all of it so i have’nt decided as of yet.

    just remember anything over 25 yrs old is considered an antique,
    antiques = $$$

    I actually collected both hemans and Astrosniks as a kid. I recently sold my heman collection and am about to put my sniks up on ebay. I have all the mcdonalds set (16), a whole lot more green ones. and have the entire set of blue and white ones (10) and several red ones and black ones and the holy grail of sniks which is a box set of 4 they made in 2000 called the millenium edition (only 50 sets made with certificate of authenticity) Ill probably get them posted on ebay in a week or so. If your really into sniks, it will be a must buy deal. I ordered most of the non-green ones from overseas, as they are practically impossible to locate in the US.

      I have several Astrosniks made in Germany that do not have the McDonalds “M” on them. I have been looking to sell but do not know what they are worth.

    The Smurfs predate the cartoon series by at least 20 years.
    I have at least 2 or 3 from 1965/66.

    @ Ed

    Their not actually affiliated with McDonalds
    on ebay they go for $10 to $25 per one or a set for $60 you can find them alot cheaper on there…they have blue and whites that you would swear were smurfs lol. Just type in “Astrosniks” on ebay and a bunch should come up.

    depends on your age very few people under 26 knows anything about them
    toys is a passion of mines if i did’nt have to work so much and hard i’de focus on hobbies, I also collected action figures, villians and dolls.

    I’ve never seen these before. They’re pretty cute. I’m so used to little blue smurfs. So, are they like little Mickey D’s martians? I was trying to see what they went for on ebay (cause that’s always good for a laugh) and all I could find was a cloth patch.

    Hopefully, you can find some.
