Dollars earned….Dollars spent!

March 18, 2010

Hey swaggtalkers…i know this has been on the news, and other sites…but i just had to post this here. First off, what in da fizzle is wrong with these 4 dudes right here??? i was huge…and i mean huge fans of these 4 kats. So how do guys so rich, famous, and live lifestyles that most can only imagine..mess around and lose all this money???

I’ll tell you how…………….  1. spending…….  2. spending……..  3. spending, till im broke lol

1st up…..MIKE TYSON

$350 million to $400 million dollar fortune……GONE!  this dude spent $4.5 million dollars on cars…and had a tub worth $2 million! Okay, enough of this….next…..

Evander holyfield

Holyfield bought a $20 million house with over 54,000 square feet and 109 rooms…who needs that much space?? The house has 11 bedrooms, 17 bathrooms, a movie theater, a bowling alley and an Olympic-size swimming pool. He made well over $250 million…a couple of business deals like that and………POOF……gone!

Scottie Pippen

Scottie Pippen….my man….Scottie Pippen,  lost $120 million in career earnings due to poor financial planning and bad business ideas. He blew $27 million on bad investments and spent $4.3 million on a Gulfstream II corporate jet. In this pic, he look like he’s wondering “what in da fizzle, happened to all my money”?

Latrell Sprewell

Spreewell famously turned down a $21 million contract because he said it wasn’t enough money to feed his family. C’mon son!!!!! He lost his $1.5 million dollar Italian yacht, named “Milwaukee’s Best”, in 2007. Then…His $5.4 million house went into foreclosure in May 2008.  But didnt want to sign a contract for $21 million. i mean like what would i look like making 7 million a year…ppsssst, please!

Get them plans together guys, b4 you start buying $100 million couches and $50 million kithchen

    @ Flip
you probably about right, the way that money was flying around, you would think all these dudes would do something better with their earnings for example Look at Micheal Jordan and Magic Johnson.

dang homie, none of your photos for this post are showing up any longer, its been that way for a minute. You might wanna fix that or maybe its just a visual issue on my pc.

Do any of the rest of you all see little red x’s where pics should be??

Maybe dude is pissed about all the ends he’s fouled up off court, no wonder Sprewell is quick to snap

  7. March 22, 2010 8:32 pm

That Sprewell is a bit crazy, he’s choked out one of his coaches, attacked a team-mate and a few other things, i`m suprised he did’nt need some of his money for pending lawsuites or maybe he did which is why he’s dead ass broke.

  8. March 22, 2010 8:09 pm

wow…thanks for that link ed. i really didnt know about swoops coming out of the closet either. but i dont see nothing wrong with it….she still is one of the best womens player ever.

  9. March 22, 2010 1:44 pm

Interesting link Ed thanks, swaggtak100 would love to see that

Out of all the things to screw up in life I feel that finances can be mishandled the quickest and leaves the biggest impact of all. Every baller wants to live that life they dreamed of as kids. They dont set aside a proper amount and plan for not only their futures, but that of their wives and childrens as well.

its suppose to be from rags to riches not the other way around

  10. March 22, 2010 1:33 pm

    That’s basically it Webmistress.

They bought a bunch of useless crap, humongous homes, and other nonsense. Oh and had armies of children to boot. Yeah, Sheryl too. It really just teaches you that if you ever are blown into a “windfall” be sure to know how to manage your finances.

Here’s an article that mentions Sheryl’s bankruptcy.

  11. March 22, 2010 10:28 am

They all bought things or spent money on purchases that can be labeled investments depending on the market as well as what bought, its estimated value. In short whatever they bought they should’ve planned on flipping its dollar amount before hand.

  12. March 21, 2010 12:46 pm

    hey guys!
i just dont get it…so unbelievable that that much money can be spent on things that are not needed. man, if i signed a deal for some nice change, im investing in something right away..that way, if it doesn’t work out i still have my career, and i can try something different. that’s where i think they fail at…too many celebs wait till they done spending so much, then wanna think about investing in somethin.

@ ed…….say it aint so…sheryl swoops?? i have to look into that…that was my girl…one of the best women ballers ever!

What a waste of some serious money, nothings wrong with buying the things one wants, within reason that is.

  14. March 20, 2010 9:51 am

    @ Flip
Now you know most of these dudes came from the hood, low income homes and had little if any education therefor to make a proper choice when it comes to managing money was a lose lose situation from the start.

    @ Ed
I know where they get themselves in all sorts of issues money wise and other, bad management, poor planning and bizzare spending habits spells doom, however when in the lime light, the more popular they become the more offers and endorsements come their way.

many of which get paid soley off of autographs and public appearances

  15. March 20, 2010 9:22 am

The athletes that killed me were Sheryl Swoops and Marion Jones. Marion was like my idol in high school.

Why are athletes so stupid. You’d think they would no how to use a prophylactic every now and again…

Well Marina we’re broke over here in the americas, high class society joins the ranks of low class scrubs on a daily! Ballers have turned to blood banks, charities are now strong arming the law. Time for me to turn my creativity into hard cold cash and after this settlement pays out in a few months i`m heading for the hills.

Holyfield has a dozen children so there should be no suprise then again with a house that size, he must have been out his mind. Hopefully he had his entire generation in mind

  19. March 19, 2010 2:45 am

But coming in at an impressive no1 spot is……………….

Not a person but, an entire nation……

    Ukraine !

    2008 and IMF lend Ukraine $10.5 billion…..

2009 and pooooooooof, all it kaput, gone.

2010 Ukraine ask IMF lend it another $16 billion, IMF tell Ukraine “GET OUT”

Now THATS show business my peoples 🙂

And I just looked your nomination of my site, thank you thank you thank you, so much for it.

Marina – from broke Ukraine, but we’re open to donations 😉

Just should’ve invested in something they loved, that was profitable which had longevity financially. Everything is’nt for everybody some people might see a get rich scheme or even actually a real money maker, but if your not following through with every aspect of it, then its definately going to fall apart.

  21. March 18, 2010 9:03 pm

Dayummm this is that bullshit im talkin bout give me 750 grand and ill make it last 20 yrs

  22. March 18, 2010 6:00 pm

Now thats how you do a post, right on for this one swaggtalk100 and your so right Novi
damn these dudes sqaunder their earnings faster than they can make them. My first instant would be to invest in something legit quick, fats and in a hurry. Money can be flipped so many different ways and times its crazy Why blow it when you can double, triple and quadruple it?? Ballers aint really ballin untill they make the damn bank bounce not their check accounts! Vote for my homies post if you like it as you can see he’s put some effort into it and we certainly do appreciate it.
