I couldn’t have answered your question about Jay Z, but I’m all over this choooooooon!

I bought it on 12′ vinyl a hundred years ago, but I have no idea where it is now. It’s been slightly shortened at the end, which is a bit of a disappointment, but it’s great to hear this again, nevertheless. If you don’t mind, I’ll squirrel this away to feature on a future occasional music blog posting under lost and found. Thanks once again.

Oh, I’ve just had a look at YouTube and there’s the acapella version. I’d completely forgotten about that one!

Jaz O was on the the Hard Knock Life Volume 2. with Jay Z on the Jigga What song. I don’t supposed Jay-Z would give JaZ-O credit after he called him out about his sexuality.

@ heaven… got it homie! yes jay-z never gave jaz-o that credit he deserves. Remember jaz-o’s song “hawian sophie”…that song waz the bizzomb!lol
and yes that verse is still one of the greatest verses ever.

thank for that info on Rakim performing…i will be celebrating somethin the day b4 *wink*…but that would be hot since i have fam in LI.

yeahh boy thank you this is my favorite rapper of all time
The answer to the question is jaz-o he brought jay-z into the game and nurtured him . jay-z doesn’t give jaz-o that credit to this day

Now to the GOD. Rakim to me changed the game of HipHop when he came through. Before he came through everything about rapping was pretty much easy words. Rakim bought tricky metaphors, lyrical content and religion into HipHop. This video and song Follow The leader contains what some rappers and HipHOp fans view as “the greatest HipHOp verse ever” The 2nd verse that starts off “this is a lifetime misson vision a prison aight listen”. Love rakim anybody in the NYC AREA he will be performing April 9th baby at the Crazy Donkey in long island. come out and rep the GOD. Thank you swaggtalk for this great and legendary video
